Diamonds on the jewelry store are usually sold already set in jewelry, but there are also loose diamond which are sold unset. These unset diamonds are already polished and cut properly.

There are many different shapes and sizes of loose diamonds to choose. For example, there are princess cut diamonds, emerald cut diamonds, round shaped diamonds, and oval shaped diamonds. There are many colors too, such as yellow, pink, blue, green, black or colorless diamonds.

People can go shopping for loose diamond and the ring separately. They intend to take the diamond to a reputable jeweler who will set the diamond in the ring or whatever jewelry they like. Many people choose this way to get their diamond engagement rings or diamond wedding rings or other jewelry.

Why purchasing loose diamonds instead of diamond set in jewelry? The main reason is probably the price. Diamonds which are not yet set in jewelry will cost much lower than diamonds already set.

In the world of diamond trading, there is a big markup of set diamond jewelry. This markup will go bigger in retail jewelry store, as compared to the price of wholesale diamond.

The huge markup sometimes does not guarantee that the quality is as high as the price. People choose loose diamond because they can seek out diamonds worth for the money the spend, especially for those with budget.

Purchasing loose diamond also makes the buyer more creative. They can create diamond jewelry with their own desire, especially for engagement or wedding diamond rings.

Shopping diamond online would be more convenience. There are a lot of diamonds to choose, loose or set in jewelry. More time and more money to be saved, since many of the online diamond stores offer a big discount or diamond sale.
